Academic Life
In our Kindergarten program, children are nurtured in a loving and unhurried environment, but are also presented with the elements of phonics and numbers so that they may begin reading and doing basic math before first grade. The kindergarten program is for Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. (Early Drop Off and Extended Day options are available for working parents – registration form)
The PCS elementary school consists of grades 1-5. Students are strategically grouped into self-contained classrooms of no more than 20. Our teaching approach utilizes effective traditional methods combined with innovative strategies that result in our elementary students performing above average national percentile on the Stanford Achievement Test.
The high school program consisting of grades 9 -12. This program is geared toward preparation for college and adulthood as a follower of Christ. A core curriculum of classes is offered.
Each year the Bible is taught to all PCS students in order to increase their knowledge of God’s word. The heart of the Bible program is to help students develop a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a Christian worldview that allows them to function as effective disciples of Christ in the 21st century. It is truly our desire to produce young men and women who are prepared for college and adulthood, both academically and spiritually.
